I can’t say I blame you. Until I learned how to have a Heart-to-Heart conversation with my Feldenkrais® clients, I thought that having a full practice would require selling my soul.
When I decided to examine my beliefs about selling, I found that my fixed beliefs were holding me back, stopping me from having the kind of effect I longed to have. The biggest “A-ha!” for me was that I didn’t have to become someone else to get Feldenkrais® clients.
We create enormous obstacles for our clients, when we hang onto the belief that we have to become sleazey, slimely, manipulative or salesy to be found. When we don’t take the time to find out how to feel good about marketing, we do everything we can to hide. This is not helpful to the people who need us!
And it’s not true, anyway. What IS true is that every one of us has a way of talking about what we do that’s completely natural AND very effective in helping our prospective clients understand how they can benefit from working with us.
