Most of the Feldenkrais® practitioners I work with love what they do, but struggle with “selling” it.
The truth is, nobody likes to be “sold,” and nearly everyone has an aversion to appearing “salesy.”
Still, Feldies seem to be on the high end of sensitivity about this subject! I’ve heard from so many people that they don’t want to sell at all… they just keep hoping FELD-EX will deliver clients to their doorstep.
The problem is that even if FELD-EX did deliver all the clients you can handle, most practitioners don’t know how to sit back and create the conditions in which those people can just talk themselves into working with you!
So what ends up happening is that a person who has a high probability of becoming your clients ends up slipping away because you feel like you only have two choices – Either you don’t do anything to “sell” the idea of working with you, or do so much that you end up being pushy anyway!
For example, do any of these common problems plague you?
- You don’t know how to start a conversation in a way that feels natural and authentic to you.
- You don’t know how to find out what your clients really want when you start working with them, OR you don’t have a clear idea of what’s possible, so you do a “kitchen sink” lesson.
- When you talk about your fees, you feel like the first obstacle you have to overcome is justifying them to yourself.
- If someone says “I can’t afford it,” or “I don’t have time,” you feel your disappointment welling up, but you manage to squeak out “Oh – Okay” before you disappear.
The solution to every one of these problems is to learn the skills that:
- eradicate awkwardness at the start of a conversation
- elicit clear information about your client so you can help them get what they came for
- eliminate the need to sell anything – even the indescribable Feldenkrais® Method!
- do away with convincing people that they need your services
That’s why I designed a step-by-step process just for Feldies. This easy-to-learn process will allow you to begin with what you already know about Feldenkrais, and make changes in the way you approach your clients that will make them eager to work with you!
I know you’re highly committed to helping people – it takes dedication and a deep desire to finish a Feldenkrais training. And you’re reading this ezine. If you’re just finishing your training, or if your practice is not all you hoped it would be, the good news is that you can change that more easily than you imagine!
Now that you have at least enough skill to get going and the certification that says you can offer Feldenkrais, the only thing to decide is whether you’re ready to learn how to build your practice so that it sustains you, fulfills you, energizes you and gives you the satisfaction you imagined when you first committed to becoming a practitioner!
I invite you to join me for a free teleseminar on June 15, 2011 at 1PM Pacific time.
